Catch Your Vibe on I-65

After a great breakfast at the hotel, We will make our way to the National Civil Rights Museum. The museum offers 260 artifacts, more than 40 new films, oral histories, interactive media and external listening posts that guide visitors through five centuries of history. After a great tour, we will make our way to Graceland where we will have lunch on our own before touring the mansion and all the exhibits that belonged to Elvis. After a great tour, we will tour Sun Studio. Sun Studio is known worldwide as “The Birthplace of Rock’n’roll”. It is the discovery location of musical legends and genres of the 50’s from B.B. King and Elvis Presley to Johnny Cash and Jerry Lee Lewis. We will finish off this day with a dinner on the Famous Beale Street.

After our final breakfast at the Guest House, we will make our way to Nashville. Upon arrival in Nashville, we will have lunch on our own in Downtown Nashville. After lunch, we will tour the Ryman Auditorium, the original Grand Ole Opry. We will then make our way to the Country Music Hall of Fame. Discover the stories behind the music as you view over 3,000 stage costumes, original song manuscripts and musical instruments. After a great tour, we will make our way to our hotel for the night. The Opryland Hotel. This hotel is an attraction in itself. Take time to explore this hotel as you dine at one of their many restaurants for dinner. This evening, we will make our way to the Grand Ole Opry. Country music artists, past and present, consider performing on this stage as one of the highest of honors that can ever be bestowed upon them, which is why many of the American music industry's all-time greats have graced the Opry at some point in their careers.

After breakfast at the hotel, we will tour the famous Studio B. More than 47,000 songs were recorded at RCA Studio B. Many were by legendary music artists. Elvis Presley is known to have recorded more than two hundred songs at this location. After another great tour, we will travel down I-65 to Muscle Shoals, AL. Upon arrival, we will enjoy a Soulful lunch at Green Acres Café. After a great lunch, we will tour the Fame Recording Studios and Muscle Shoals Sound Studio, the birthplace of the Muscle Shoals Sound and where history was made. We will then step into the birthplace of W.C. Handy, the “Father of the Blues.” The museum houses his personal papers, artifacts and lots of memorabilia. We will make our way to our hotel for the night, the Marriott Shoals Hotel & Spa with stunning views of the Tennessee River. Tonight’s dinner will be at Rattlesnake Saloon which is a unique dining adventure that is set under a natural bluff shelter. As we dine, we will enjoy a live music performance.

After breakfast at the hotel, we will make our way to the Alabama Hall of Fame. We will explore exhibits honoring Alabama’s music legends, including Hank Williams, Lionel Richie and the Muscle Shoals Rhythm Section. This museum showcases the state’s rich musical heritage. After lunch on our own, we will continue down I-65 and make our way to Birmingham. We will check into our hotel for the next 3 nights before we make our way to dinner at Iron City Birmingham. We will enjoy dinner at one of Birmingham’s premier live music venues. Iron City features performances by local and national acts, creating a vibrant dining atmosphere.

After breakfast at the hotel, we will tour the Alabama Jazz Hall of Fame. This museum is located in the historic Carver Theater and celebrates Alabama’s jazz heritage. We will then make our way to the 16th Street Baptist Church known as the pivotal Civil Rights Movement site which was tragically known for the 1963 bombing. The church stands as a symbol of the struggle and resilience of the Civil Rights era. Lunch will be at Green Acres Café and then we will tour the Birmingham Civil Rights Institute. This interactive museum chronicles the Civil Rights Movement providing powerful insights into the fight for equality. Next we will make our way to Montgomery and make a stop at The Redmont Hotel, the place where Hank Williams spent his last night. From there we will go to the Barber Vintage Motorsports Museum, home to 1,600 motorcycles and race cars. We will then travel back to Birmingham where we will enjoy a relaxing evening and dinner on our own.

After breakfast at the hotel, we will make our way to Selma, AL. This morning we will walk across the historic bridge, the site of the 1965 Bloody Sunday march, The Edmund Pettus Bridge. This bridge is a powerful symbol of the fight for voting rights and civil justice. We will then visit the Old Live Oak Confederate Cemetery before enjoying a great lunch at Dreamland BBQ. After lunch we will head back to Montgomery where we will visit the Dexter Avenue King Memorial Baptist Church. This is the Church where Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. served as pastor during the Montgomery Bus Boycott. Next, we will visit the First White House of the Confederacy, the Hank William Museum and the Hank Williams Memorial & Grave Site. Before returning to Birmingham, we will enjoy dinner at the Capitol Oyster Bar. A popular spot for live music and fresh seafood.

This morning, we will enjoy our last breakfast at the hotel before we make our way home. Fly groups will fly out of the Birmingham airport.
