Day 1 – Arrivals
On arrival in Vermont you will be greeted at the renowned Trapp Family Lodge, for a luxury four night stay. You will feel like you are in “The Sound of Music” during your stay at this Austrian-inspired chalet, owned and operated by the von Trapp Family.
Dinner tonight is in the Main Dining Room to set the perfect mood. After dinner, enjoy a beer tasting at Trapp Family Brewery or relax in front of the fire. Trapp Family Lodge, Stowe, VT (D)
Day 2 – Shelburne Village
After breakfast meet your guide for sightseeing.. Your first stop is a visit to the Vermont Teddy Bear Factory! Tour the factory where the best Teddy Bears in the Universe are born! Vermont Teddy Bear Company is the largest maker of hand-crafted, American-made Teddy Bears. Such a cuddly stop!
Then visit Shelburne Farms, a 400-acre National Historic Landmark on the shores of Lake Champlain. and a perfect place for a horse-drawn sleigh ride!! Though the farm is closed for the winter, they open up for us, so you will be riding through a pristine countryside!
Shelburne Country Store an original 1859 store, is a throw back offering gourmet and Vermont specialty foods. Includes fudge, cheeses, and homemade jams. We also have the option of the Burlington Christmas Loft – a magnificent all-things-Christmas stop!
Stop at the Church Street Marketplace located in nearby Burlington. It is beautifully decked out for the holidays. This is a festive outdoor pedestrian mall of galleries and shops and cafes with a perfect holiday feel.
Then visit the Ziemke Glassblowing Studio, Vermont’s premier art glass studio. Enjoy the glassblowing from the gallery and the collection of amazing glass-art!
Tonight dinner is in a quaint village restaurant, or a french cafe, or at the elegant Stowe Mountain Lodge.
After dinner enjoy a candle lit lantern tour of Stowe – beautiful scenery and great stories! (Or sit by the fireplace at the Green Moutnian Inn and sip a hot toddy while the others stroll!)

Day 3 – More vermont – and food
After breakfast at the Lodge, join your local guide for a full day Vermont tour.
Morse Farms is a traditional Vermont maple farm. Learn how maple sugar is made. You will tour the sugarhouse, sample freshly made maple syrup and visit the maple-inspired gift store. Then enjoy a Vermont “sugar on snow party”!
Have you ever had a cider donut? Mmmmm. The aroma captures you before you’ve even tasted them. A vist to Cold Hollow Cider Mill includes one of these tasty delights! And you’ll love the gift shop!
Who doesn’t love Ben & Jerry’s ice cream? It is one of the tastiest tours you’ll ever enjoy. Their story and business mottos are also fascinating.
Returning to the Lodge you will enjoy caroling with the Von Trapp Family. How many folks can say that?! Tonight’s Christmas Eve Dinner is at the Lodge. Trapp Family Lodge, Stowe, VT (B, L, D)
Day 4 – MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!
Merry Christmas! After breakfast, enjoy a day exploring Trapp Family Lodge and grounds. Optional activities: a horse-drawn sleigh ride, cross country skiing or snowshoeing, cross country and showshoe equipment are included. And of course, sitting by the fire is expected!
