Day 1
Depart from the Ozark/Springfield area aboard a deluxe Motorcoach. Lunch will be on own en route. Once we reach Hot Springs we will enjoy a meet and greet welcome reception at the hotel. Later relax and savor some free time in Downtown Spa City. Dinner this evening will be on our own downtown and then we’ll have an Ice Cream Social at Desoto Rock & Gift Shop with entertainment by singer Ken Goodman. Arlington Hotel or similar
Day 2
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel and then we will tour Garvan Woodland Gardens, the botanical garden of the University of Arkansas. Nestled in the picturesque Ouachita Mountains of Southwest Arkansas, the Gardens are a wonderful gift to all people from local industrialist and philanthropist Verna Cook Garvan. Garvan Woodland Gardens is an example of The Natural State at its best: a canopy of pines reaching skyward providing protection for delicate flora and fauna, gentle lapping waves that unfold along the 4 ½ miles of wooded shoreline, and rocky inclines that remind us of the surrounding Ouachita Mountains. Lunch at the Grand Delicious Tea Room. After lunch we will attend our DIY “Hatitude” Hat Making Class and Wine Tasting at Winery of Hot Springs. We will then set sail for a on The Belle Of Hot Springs for a Sunset Boat Cruise and Shoreline Dinner. Arlington Hotel or similar (B,L,D)
Day 3
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel and free time for some extra spa experience before we head out to Oaklawn Racing and Gambling for Kentucky Derby Day ~ (Wear your hat you created!!). Enjoy a day of racing and gambling. Dinner will be at Rocky’s Corner Pizza. Rocky’s Corner is a family owned restaurant that was established in the late 1970s on Park Avenue as a carry out/ pick up establishment with only a few picnic tables outside. The Diorio/Simonovich families are originally from Chicago, but fell in love with Hot Springs and decided to start a family restaurant. After dinner it’s on to see show at the Maxwell Blade Theatre of Magic. Master illusionist Maxwell Blade will take you on a magical journey in the Theatre of Magic where he will amaze you with unbelievable illusions and unforgettable comedy. Day 4
Enjoy a breakfast at the hotel before visiting Ron Coleman Mining Inc. Ron Coleman Mining has been the premiere destination for hands-on mining and precious gem gifts for nearly 30 years. Families and visitors come from all over the country to see our mine in Jessieville, Arkansas, and to dig their own gems. After your mining experience we will depart for home. Lunch will be on own en route. (B)
