Arrive in Chicago, IL and check in to our local hotel. Dinner is included this evening. Chicago, Illinois (D)
Day Two
Breakfast is included at our hotel each morning. Today, we begin with a guided driving tour of Chicago. Next, we continue our adventure at the official start of the Mother Road. Enjoy lunch included along Route 66. After lunch, continue to the Route 66 Welcome Center and Route 66 Association Hall of Fame and Museum. Enjoy dinner along the Mother Road prior to hotel check-in. Day Three
After breakfast, we depart for the official Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum. Enjoy lunch included along Route 66. Continue on to Meramec Caverns to experience Missouri’s largest commercial cave. Stop for a photo opportunity at the World’s Largest Rocking Chair. Next, enjoy a guided tour of the Murals of Cuba. Later, we check in to our local hotel. Dinner is included. Missouri (B,L,D)
Day Four
After breakfast at a local restaurant, explore the University of Missouri for a photo opportunity at the Stonehenge replica. Enjoy a guided tour of Pulaski County prior to lunch at a local restaurant. Visit the Route 66 Museum and Research Center and the “Birthplace of Route 66”. Later, we’ll enjoy dinner at a favorite restaurant along Route 66. (B,L,D)
Day Five
Check out after breakfast and satisfy your sweet tooth with a stop at the Candy House Chocolate Factory. Continue to Kansas where we will visit the 4 Women on the Route, the Marsh Arch Bridge, and the Baxter Springs Heritage Center and Museum. Enjoy lunch and a tour of the Coleman Theater, home to the “The Mighty Wurlitzer”. After lunch, visitEd Galloway’s Totem Pole Park and the Will Rogers Memorial Museum. Stop for a photo opportunity at the Blue Whale. Check in to our hotel. Dinner is included. Kansas (B,L,D)
Day Six
Check out after breakfast and visit the Woody Guthrie Museum. Next, explore Cyrus Avery Centennial Plaza, where east meets west. Lunch is included. Next, experience one of Route 66’s newest icons, POPS. Arrive in Oklahoma City and take a water taxi ride. Dinner is included before returning to the hotel. Oklahoma City, Oklahoma (B,L,D)
Day Seven
After checking out, depart for the Oklahoma State Capitol building. Next, visit the Oklahoma History Center. Enjoy lunch and a tour of the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum. Visit the Oklahoma City National Memorial and Museum. Dinner is included before checking into our hotel. (B,L,D)
Day Eight
After breakfast and checking out, depart for home. (B)
